Lauren Kim

Lauren Kim is a lawyer who primarily practices in the areas of family law, child protection, criminal defense, and appeals. Lauren has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia. In family law practice, Lauren has assisted clients with custody and access disputes, support issues, and matrimonial property division. In the area of criminal defense, Lauren has assisted a wide spectrum of clients with charges ranging from simple assault and theft, to drug possession, commercial smuggling and murder.

Prior to joining RWE Law Corporation, Lauren articled at a respected criminal defense boutique in downtown Vancouver. During law school, Lauren was an active member of Women’s Legal Education Action Fund (LEAF) and Pro Bono Students Canada, and spent her summer volunteering for a Law Students’ Legal Advice Program (LSLAP) clinic for UBC, providing free legal advice to low-income individuals. Outside of the law practice, Lauren enjoys running, spending time with her family and performing in theatre. Lauren is fluent in Korean.

Lauren was called to the British Columbia bar in 2014. Outside of work, Lauren spends her time running, and raising her own young family.
