Bionca Chu
Bionca Chu is a dedicated and emerging legal professional who recently received her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a Minor in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. Her passion for advocacy and social justice is evident through her work with Rise Women’s Legal Centre, where she assisted in family law matters including divorce, support, parenting responsibilities, and protection orders.

Bionca has also contributed meaningfully to the legal academic field as a research assistant on a forthcoming constitutional law publication and through her role with Pro Bono Students Canada. Her training includes dispute resolution, where she supported first-year law students as a practicum teaching assistant, emphasizing collaborative problem-solving and communication.

With a leadership and community engagement background, Bionca brings a unique blend of empathy, diligence, and cultural fluency to her work. She is committed to providing clear, client-focused legal support and values fair and practical solutions. Her long-term goal is to build a career in family law that reflects her dedication to empowerment, equity, and care.

Outside of her legal pursuits, Bionca enjoys boxing, spinning, and travelling. In her free time, you can find Bionca exploring new restaurants with her dog, Lilo.
