How the rates work

Rates change every six months. The Supreme Court of British Columbia publishes pre-judgment and post-judgment rates for each half-year. This calculator applies the official published rates to each period, day by day over a 365-day year.
Interest is simple, not compound. The Court Order Interest Act does not allow interest on interest.
